Marco Zanuso Jr was born in Milan in 1954 he graduated in Architecture in Florence in 1978 with an experimental dissertation on radical architecture. He spends long periods in Spain, France and United States where he gets in contact with the Land Art and he is interested in solar power. In Wien he works with a group of architects and artists for design’s exhibitions and research seminars, in the Rastlos Area. Since 1979 he works with his uncle Marco Zanuso senior both on architecture and design projects and in University with Enzo Mari and Achille Castiglioni. In 1980 he opens his own studio in Milan. In 1991 he is associated with Daniele Nava and he works on interior design, offices and private homes. Among his works Piccolo Teatro di Milano (with Marco Zanuso senior), the Teatro Carlo Fossati and the project for the Auditorium Mondadori in Segrate. Between 2001 and 2004 he works on the image of the store chain GS. In 2003 he works with architect Giuseppe Raboni in the exhibition “Fuori Serie: mobili inediti degli anni ’30 / ’40”. He cooperates as designer for Memphis, Cappellini, Driade, De Padova, Carlo Moretti, Luceplan, Marset, FontanaArte. Marco is founder of lighting firm Oceano Oltreluce.
