Light by designer

Designer name: Lechot, Steve
The sculptor Steve Lechot, born in the Swiss Jura and graduated in 2002 at the ECAL (Ecole Cantonale d’Arts de Lausanne), experiments with all kind of materials and light, besides of his focused element: stone. In 2003 he founded his own company to design and market his own creations. The awarded One by One floor lamp for Belux emerged out of that in 2004: it has even been honoured with the red dot design award. Further lamps of Steve Léchot are Akira, Totem, Organza 36 and 58. The lamps holders are all made out of stainless steel, the diffusers out of tissue or specially treated polyester fleece each one. The creations of Steve Léchot are characterized by simple elegance, refined constructions, warm materials and an energy saving technique: exceptional lamps that are enrichments for every room with their appearance and light-effects.
