Vito Latis was born in 1912 and graduated at the Polytecnico in Milan in 1935 and became subsequently assistant to the Architectural drawing course, participates in important commissions and research groups: Bureau Technique de la Reconstruction (1944-45 Zurich); Commission of the city of Milan to study the master plan (1947-48); Council of the Trade Union Council, ANIAI (National Association of Italian Architects Engineers), INU (Istituto Nazionale town planning); President of the MSA (1952-53). Participates in the Triennale (from 1936 to 1954 with two diplomas and three silver medals). In the Studio Latis Progetti, founded in 1936 by Vito Latis participated besides Vito himself his brother Gustavo (from 1955 on), his wife Marta Latis for figurative arts and Margareta Tingdal for furniture and, currently their daughters Elizabeth and Giovanna and son, Francesco , all architects. Vito Latis designed the Tondoluce lamp for Harvey Guzzini (iGuzzini).
