Sandro Santantonio born in Lecce in 1977 where he studies to the Experimental Art School Lyceum, then he moves about Milan and here goes to Brera Academy where in 2000 he graduates with maximum marks. During the studies, he starts working with popular designers like Roberto Semprini, Guglielmo Berchicci, Prospero Rasulo, Giuseppe Viganò, Azzolini Tinuper, Marianelli Design and take part to national and international show and exhibition. In 2004 founds Sandro Santantonio Design that looks like a working and studying field dedicated to the new ideology of design, able to group under an exclusive role manifold abilities that, soon, allow to the Studio expand considerably the customer fleet and the working experiences, collaborating with company leaders in the furniture, lighting, decorative home and fashion accessories field. In 2008 Sandro Santantonio was invited from the Architect Semprini, in Brera Academy like guest during the design lessons and where, from 2009, he gives an industrial design course. Always in the teaching world, with 2008 started the collaboration with the institute ISAD of Milan, where he teaches product design. His projects were exposed in many exhibitions and fairs in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, England, France, Monaco, United States, Russia, India, China and Japan. Sandro Santantonio counts today various awards, such as the special mention Young&Design 2004 for the Flower chair, two special mentions Young&Design 2005 for the sofas line Dune and the lamps collection Zoe, the special mention Young&Design 2006 for the table Wave and the first award to the naval competition Abitare il Mare 2006 announced to the Seatec- Carrara Fiere, thanks to the project of a cruise ships luxury cabin and the special award “for the project that better has individualized innovative solutions in a logic of maximum simplicity” Young&Design 2007, won for the lamps collection Trinity that has received, in 2009, the mention to Compasso d’Oro. More, the lamp ABC produced by Prandina has been chosen in 2007 for the show Milano Love Design, in 2008 to furnish the International Cinema Festival in Rome and in 2009 to the Oderzo award. The Biennale of Venice has chosen the sofa Palace designed for Casamania for yours setting up. The collection of lamps Muse, designed for Axolight, has been recently exposed to the GUM Department Mebelissima in Russia organized by Mondadori, in 2010 has received the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum and, at last, has received the mention for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2011. Great importance the selection of some products from Pitti Image (selected by Cristina Morozzi) and from the brand PRADA, for events and fashion parade. TV programs like X-Factor, The Big Brother, Mai dire Goal, Buona Domenica, Trenta ore per la Vita, Miss Italia and spots like Venus and Clinians has seen employment of objects designed by Sandro Santantonio. He received several publishing on the most important national and international magazines like Domus, Interni, Ottagono, Interior Design, Elle, Elle Decore, Dwell, Vogue, Abitare, GdA, Capital , HOME, Marie Claire Maison, Code, CasaD, CasaViva, Box, Abitare, DDN, Proyecto Contract, Modus, MD, Ambijrntr, Prestige Design, Compass-es, Designetal, Mondo, Suite, il Corriere della Sera, Dimore, La Repubblica, La Stampa, Il Sole 24 Ore, Spazio Casa, Capital, Raum und Wohnen, Maison & Ambiances, Donna & Benessere, Schoner Wohnen, Casa Y Jardin, Ait, Ideales heim, Emporium and more
